NHS Jobs is seeking an autonomous OT Technician to deliver pre-formulated OT input to children and families in community settings. You will work under the Occupational Therapist, coordinating with schools and multi‑disciplinary teams to support ongoing care.

The role involves equipment management, caseload prioritisation and compliance with RCOT guidance and Trust policies. You will participate in supervision and maintain confidential records, contributing to high-quality clinical care.

Responsabilidades

• Autonomously deliver pre-formulated OT input to children, young people and families in community sites assigned by the OT.
• Liaise with school staff, families and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Manage basic equipment with support from the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor inventory of sensory-based and other therapeutic equipment and place orders as needed.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings as directed and liaise with the team.
• Undertake delegated tasks from the Occupational Therapist.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, school staff and professionals.
• Be responsible for daily caseload management and prioritisation, seeking senior support when required.
• Maintain professional and legal accountability for practice, including RCOT associate membership.
• Provide OT input respecting diversity and informed consent in all aspects of service delivery.
• Know when to seek guidance from senior staff and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and safekeeping of electronic and paper records, including SystmOne.
• Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, data entry and document distribution.
• Adhere to infection control, manual handling and related Trust policies.
