Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide specialist assessments and interventions within mental health and learning disability services across the county. You will work autonomously with patients, operate within HCPC and COT standards, and collaborate with the MDT to deliver person-centred care.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy bachelor level qualification.
• HCPC registered OT.
• Experience with mental health or learning disabilities and building therapeutic relationships.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act framework.
• Ability to plan and manage own caseload.
• Experience supervising junior staff.
• Experience developing therapeutic timetable of interventions.
• Understanding of mental health assessments and practice models.
• Understanding safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act.
• Understanding research in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist OT assessments and interventions.
• Maintain standards per HCPC and COT.
• Manage patients with complex needs with autonomy.
• Plan and implement individual/group interventions with patients.
• Provide leadership to OT staff and supervise students.
• Work with MDT to ensure high standard of care.
