Job summary

Capgemini in the United Kingdom seeks an Automation & Platform Engineer to build a robust automation execution layer for autonomous network actions. You will design, implement, and operate automation workflows, orchestration pipelines, and platform services with secure API gateways.

You will work with Ansible, Terraform, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD, integrating with network controllers, OSS, cloud platforms, and vendor APIs, while ensuring compliance and observability.

Qualifications

• Experience in network automation and platform engineering for telecom or cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on with Ansible, Terraform, Python and REST APIs.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation workflows for autonomous network use cases.
• Build intent-to-configuration pipelines translating validated intents into actions.
• Develop reusable playbooks, templates, modules, and orchestration workflows.
• Implement automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support integration with OSS, SDN controllers, cloud platforms, and vendor APIs.
• Build secure API-based execution frameworks and ensure audit logging.
