Job summary

North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC) is expanding its day-time home visiting service across four PCNs in the North Hampshire area. Paramedics will autonomously assess and manage unplanned urgent and primary care needs, with support from GP practice colleagues and NHUC clinicians.

The role runs 10:00–18:00, Monday to Friday (bank holidays excluded), with a fixed-term contract to 31 March 2029. Requirements include HCPC registration and a valid UK driving license; immunity to working within a team

Qualifications

• HCPC registered paramedics with frontline emergency/urgent care experience preferred.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Ability to work autonomously within an integrated multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously undertake home visits to assess and diagnose unplanned urgent and primary care conditions.
• Provide urgent primary care level treatment and onward referral within scope of practice; seek remote clinical supervision as required.
• Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with GP practices, PCNs and NHUC clinicians to ensure safe, high-quality care.
