NHS Jobs in the United Kingdom seeks a General Practitioner to work within primary care, providing clinic and telephone consultations, home visits, prescribing, and patient management in line with practice protocols.

You will maintain comprehensive patient records, contribute to audits, participate in safeguarding, infection control, and continuous professional development, and collaborate with the practice team to deliver high-quality care.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical duties include surgery consultations, telephone consultations and home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and handling queries and paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems and refer to other health care workers as appropriate.
• Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated problems; screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
• Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols; provide counselling and health education.
• Admit or discharge patients to/from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
• Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards; collect data for audit purposes.
• Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding handwritten prescriptions where possible); prescribe in accordance with the practice formulary.
• Undertake all normal duties of a GP in primary care; adhere to practice policies; Lifelong learning and audit for evidence-based practice; contribute to evaluation, audit and standard setting; develop computer-based patient records and read-coding.
• Attend training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
