Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional clinic sessions across Biggar. You will support local GP teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures, ensuring safe and coordinated patient care.

You will have autonomy to manage routine primary care nursing activity within well-supported GP environments, with opportunities across weekdays, evenings or weekends. Flexible ad-hoc or ongoing sessions await.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Confident working independently within GP settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsabilités

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans.
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes.
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic.
