Job summary

The Waterloo Practice in Huddersfield is seeking a salaried GP to join our team for 4 sessions per week on a 24-month fixed-term contract. You will provide high-quality patient-centred care within a supportive environment.

We have 9,500 patients, a GMC registered team, and a commitment to clinical excellence. The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration with nurses and admin staff, and opportunities to develop special interests in Primary Care.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with current General Medical Council (GMC) registration.
• Strong commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, colleagues and wider healthcare teams.
• Local knowledge & Enhanced Skills (Desirable)
• Familiarity with local referral pathways, community services and prescribing formularies (Desirable)
• Experience managing digital workflows efficiently including processing pathology results, clinical correspondence and repeat prescriptions (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract.
• Adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
