Job summary

Portway Family Practice is seeking a GP to join its friendly, dynamic team on an initial fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027. The post offers 4–6 sessions per week with potential for a permanent position depending on funding.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care within a supportive, collaborative team, contributing to a forward-thinking practice partnered with Citrus Health PCN and regional extended hours hubs.

Qualifications

• GMC registration as a GP in good standing.
• UK GP training completed and recognised for practice eligibility.
• Current UK professional registration required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical consultations, telephone consultations and queries as per practice timetable.
• Visiting patients at home as required by patient need.
• Checking, signing and issuing repeat prescriptions.
• Prescribing in line with practice formulary and guidelines.
• Undertaking the normal duties of a GP within primary care.
