Job summary

Mountain Healthcare Limited is seeking Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals in Workington to deliver high-quality care to detainees in police custody. You will work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, assessing and treating patients, with responsibilities spanning clinical care, safeguarding, and documentation.

The role offers training in forensic skills, ongoing professional development and the chance to contribute to a unique clinical environment within the criminal justice system.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Paramedic with current HCPC registration.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points.
• Ability to complete enhanced DBS clearance and police vetting.
• Full right to work in the UK and a minimum of three years' UK residency prior to application.
• At least three years' post-qualification experience in an acute or relevant setting (front-line ambulance, A&E, prison, custody or urgent care).
• Willingness to complete externally accredited forensic training within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality healthcare to detainees in police custody.
• Assess, treat and support detainees while ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Attend hospital procedures and provide professional statements when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical and evidential records and liaise with custody teams and partner agencies.
