Braemar Medical Recruitment is seeking skilled nurses and paramedics for forensic custody healthcare roles in the Maidenhead area. You will assess, treat and support detainees with physical and mental health needs, working collaboratively with police and custody teams across 24/7 shifts.

Autonomy and strong clinical judgment are essential, with comprehensive forensic training provided within the first year. A driving licence and Enhanced DBS clearance are required to proceed with applications.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration OR Paramedic with current HCPC registration.
• At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in acute or relevant healthcare environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and make clinical decisions.
• Willingness to complete accredited forensic training within first year.

Responsabilités

• Conducting clinical and capacity assessments and determining fitness for detention, interview and release.
• Managing medical emergencies and other acute healthcare needs.
• Supporting detainees with mental health needs, substance misuse and vulnerabilities.
• Documenting forensic samples and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborating with police, custody teams and NHS services to arrange ongoing care.
