Job summary

The CFO HQ is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a Central London role with hybrid working. You will own the finance function, work closely with the owners and deliver reliable financial information to support decisive business choices.

The role covers financial reporting, controls and day-to-day accounting, with autonomy, variety and exposure to commercial decisions within a privately owned business.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience.
• Experience in a commercial, privately owned or owner-managed business.
• Expert knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems.
• VAT, payroll and financial controls understanding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Manage day-to-day accounting: purchase/sales ledgers, expenses and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounts.
• Oversee VAT returns, payroll and related financial compliance.
• Coordinate annual audit and statutory accounts with external accountants.
• Manage financial reporting across multiple entities and liaise with banks and advisers.
