Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales is seeking an Emergency Nurse Practitioner to practise autonomously in the Emergency Department, assessing and managing patients with undifferentiated injuries and illnesses.

You will provide specialist advice to external agencies and the public, ensure safe discharges, and support junior staff and students. Welsh language ability is desirable; applications in Welsh welcome.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with current practice status.
• Mentor junior staff and students in ED.
• Up-to-date mandatory training and PDP evidence.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
• Desirable Welsh language ability.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously assess, examine, diagnose and manage/discharge ED patients.
• Provide specialist advice within the department to external agencies and the public.
• Ensure safe discharge to other specialties when required.
• Instruct and support junior doctors and nursing students.
• Lead and participate in education, research and development activities.
