Job summary

Maintech Recruitment are seeking an EHS Advisor for a respected heavy industrial manufacturer based in Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire. You will own day-to-day EHS activity across two sites, reporting to the UK EHS Manager, and drive ground-level safety improvements in a safety-critical environment.

The role offers autonomy, a 37.5 hour week, flexible start times, and a clear path for professional growth, with access to training and a supportive EHS function.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate is ideal but not essential.
• Experience in regulated industries such as rail, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, offshore, mining or heavy manufacturing.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels.
• Experience across multiple industry sectors is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct learning walks, building a visible and trusted presence across shop floor and office teams.
• Analyse EHS data and trends to identify trigger points and drive proactive, preventative action.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation.
• Deliver EHS training and inductions, including manual handling, fire warden and (where experienced) abrasive wheels.
• Support preparation for internal and external audits, including third-party assessments.
• Maintain awareness of current EHS legislation and ensure ongoing compliance, including COSHH and PUWER.
• Support the UK EHS Manager on wider EHS schemes and continuous improvement initiatives across both sites.
