Job summary

Maintech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an EHS Advisor for an established manufacturing client in Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire. You will own day-to-day EHS activity across main and satellite sites, engaging shop floor and office teams, and reporting to the UK EHS Manager.

The role focuses on learning walks, data trends, audits, training, investigations, and continuous improvement in a safety-first environment with ISO accreditations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate is ideal but not essential for the right candidate.
• Experience within regulated industries such as heavy manufacturing/rail/aviation/nuclear.
• Confident working independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels of business.
• Experience across more than one industry sector is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular learning walks and build a visible presence across shop floor and offices.
• Analyse EHS data and trends to identify triggers and drive proactive actions.
• Lead accident and incident investigations with thorough documentation.
• Deliver EHS training and inductions, including manual handling and fire safety.
• Support internal and external audits and third-party assessments.
• Maintain awareness of current EHS legislation and ensure compliance (COSHH, PUWER).
• Support the UK EHS Manager on wider schemes and continuous improvement across both sites.
