Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Gastroenterology and Hepatology Dietitian (Band 6) to provide senior clinical leadership and autonomous dietetic care for gastroenterology and hepatology patients.

The post involves developing resources, supporting research/audit and contributing to service development across sites, with possible evening/weekend working as part of seven-day service delivery.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration with current Dietitian status.
• Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
• Teaching qualification or experience in teaching groups.
• Post-registration dietetic experience including at least 2 years in an acute hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a complex and high-quality evidence-based nutrition and dietetic service to Gastroenterology and Hepatology patients.
• Provide a skilled service to Gastroenterology and Hepatology inpatients and outpatients.
• Possess a high level of knowledge and skills to approach tasks timely and empathically.
• Be responsible for nutrition/dietetic participation in multi‑professional groups and contribute to policy making as directed by the head of service.
