Job summary

Primary Care North Cumbria is seeking an Enhanced Practice professional with advanced diabetes expertise. You will provide specialist clinical management, undertake autonomous consultations within your scope, and work within the MDT to deliver high‑quality patient care.

You will lead local clinical policies, develop education for staff, participate in governance, and ensure standards align with NMC/HCPC guidance and national strategies.

Qualifications

• Evidence of teaching and assessing in clinical settings.
• Significant experience in diabetes care and MDT collaboration.
• Autonomous practice with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist contribution to the clinical management of diabetes patients.
• Lead development and dissemination of local clinical protocols and policies.
• Deliver teaching sessions to staff and external learners.
• Participate in clinical supervision and staff performance reviews.
• Ensure governance and adherence to professional guidelines.
