Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Community Nurse to join our community nursing team in Bideford on a fixed-term basis until 25/04/27. You will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care across patients’ homes, clinics and community settings, assessing needs, planning interventions and offering information and support to patients and families.

You will work to help people stay in their preferred place of care, promote independence and contribute

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current registration.
• Ability to work autonomously and lone working.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to teach, supervise and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing in patients' homes, clinics and community settings.
• Assess needs, plan and deliver interventions, give information and support to patients, families and carers.
• Promote independence and help patients to remain in their preferred place of care.
• Supervise and support peers, students and other team members where appropriate.
