Job summary

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the OPAT service. You will work with an IV Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to service users in a Mon-Fri ambulatory setting.

Experience with Central/PICC lines and IV medicines is advantageous, with in-house training available. You should be able to work autonomously, teach and train staff, patients and carers, and communicate effectively across acute and primary care.

Qualifications

• Registered Teaching and assessing.
• Registered Nurse.
• NMC recognised prescribing course (desirable).
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Understanding of management of NMC code of practice and requirements.
• Experience of working in primary care (desirable).
• Evidence of involvement in service users advocacy and complaints resolution (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the Community IV service delivery for RUH Bath.
• Collaborate with IV Nurse Practitioner to cover Mon-Fri service.
• Deliver high quality, person-centred care to service users and carers.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in acute and primary care.
• Provide nursing input in nurse-led clinics as applicable.
