Job description

Community Chemotherapy Nurse

Sheffield | Up to £44,500 + Company Car or £4,887.50 Car Allowance | Monday-Friday | Full Time

Looking for more time with your patients and less time rushing between them?

If you're an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse or SACT Nurse looking for more autonomy, a better work-life balance and the opportunity to deliver personalised cancer care, this could be a great move.

I'm recruiting for one of the UK's leading specialist healthcare providers, delivering chemotherapy and cancer treatments directly to patients in their own homes across Sheffield.

You’ll manage your own caseload, spend dedicated time with your patients and deliver specialist oncology and haematology treatments outside of a busy hospital environment.

What's on Offer?
  • Salary up to £44,500 depending on experience
  • Company car or £4,887.50 car allowance
  • Monday-Friday working
  • No nights, weekends or bank holidays
  • NMC registration paid
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Structured induction and specialist clinical training
The Role

As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you’ll deliver specialist cancer treatments to patients in their own homes across Sheffield.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Administering chemotherapy and Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) in patients' homes
  • Completing clinical assessments and pre-treatment checks
  • Performing cannulation, venepuncture and managing vascular access devices
  • Monitoring patients during treatment and responding to adverse reactions
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and treatment documentation
  • Providing education, reassurance and support to patients and their families
  • Working closely with hospital oncology teams, consultants and multidisciplinary teams
About You
  • Active NMC registration as an Adult Nurse / RGN
  • Completed and signed-off SACT Passport
  • Current experience administering chemotherapy / SACT
  • Competent in administering cytotoxic medications
  • Strong cannulation and venous access skills
  • Confident working independently and managing your own caseload
  • Full UK driving licence

Applications are welcomed from experienced Chemotherapy Nurses, Oncology Nurses, SACT Nurses and Haematology Nurses with the relevant chemotherapy competencies.

Previous community nursing experience isn’t essential. If you’re currently working in an oncology ward, chemotherapy day unit or haematology department and are looking for a change, this could be an excellent next step.

Why Join?

You’ll have the freedom to organise your own day, build genuine relationships with your patients and deliver specialist cancer care without the constant pace and pressure of a busy hospital environment.

With Monday-Friday working, no nights or weekends and a comprehensive induction, you’ll be able to continue doing what you do best while enjoying a better work-life balance.
