Job summary

The Occupational Therapist role sits within the Adult Mental Health Team, covering North East Oxfordshire. You'll assess adults 18-65, provide NICE-guided, evidence-based treatments, and work autonomously within a MDT while developing leadership skills and supervising staff.

Requirements include HCPC registration and post-qualification experience in community mental health care. A car for travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified OT with HCPC registration and current status.
• Demonstrated continuing professional development since qualification.
• Experience in community mental health care with older adults.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork and CMHTs.
• Understanding of clinical/operational risk management.
• Experience supervising other staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out autonomous mental health and occupational therapy assessments.
• Develop treatment plans with service users and families to promote safety and independence.
• Deliver NICE-guided, evidence-based interventions across settings.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapies staff in the MDT.
• Travel for home visits and work across hospital and non-hospital sites.
