Brandon James, a well-established Oxfordshire practice, is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to deliver a mix of professional and project-led work with autonomy and direct client access. You will be on site frequently, carrying out surveys, condition assessments and defect investigations, then driving design, procurement, and contract administration through to practical completion.

Qualifications

• MRICS status with post-qualification experience in building surveying.
• Experience across professional services and project-led work.
• Confident report writing and specification drafting.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out building surveys, condition assessments and defect diagnosis across a varied property portfolio.
• Preparing designs, costings, project programmes and specifications.
• Managing tender processes and advising on procurement routes and contractor appointments.
• Leading projects from inception to completion including contract administration.
• Advising clients on maintenance strategies and building management.
• Providing guidance on property legislation, building regulations and health and safety.
• Undertaking feasibility studies for development and refurbishment schemes.
• Delivering work to programme and within agreed budgets.
