An established Oxfordshire practice is looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor who wants genuine variety, strong earning potential and the autonomy that comes with a smaller, hands‑on consultancy.
The firm delivers building surveying services across a broad residential, commercial and mixed-use portfolio. You will be the lead professional on your own instructions, with direct client access and the freedom to manage projects from inception to completion without unnecessary layers of sign-off.
This is a site-focused Chartered Building Surveyor position with a real mix of professional and project work. Day to day, you will be out on site more often than at a desk, carrying out building surveys, condition assessments and defect investigations, then taking ownership of specifications, tender processes and contract administration through to practical completion.
The workload spans feasibility studies, planned maintenance strategies, property legislation advice and health and safety guidance. You will be trusted to run your own projects, manage client relationships and make commercial decisions. Fire risk assessment experience would be a useful addition.
A commercially aware Chartered Building Surveyor comfortable operating independently across multiple live instructions.
