Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Community Midwife to join our community midwifery team in the Ashton-under-Lyne area. You will provide care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods, working both in the community and hospital settings.

The role requires an NMC registered midwife with post-qualification NHS experience, and a flexible, autonomous approach within an MDT. An on-call element supports the homebirth service.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Midwife with NHS post-qualification experience.
• Experience working in community midwifery and intrapartum settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide community midwifery care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.
• Work autonomously and within an MDT to deliver safe, individualized care.
• Refer to partner agencies and other services as required.
• Support homebirth services on an on-call basis.
