Job summary

Locum Ready in Tiverton is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice. This autonomous clinician role offers flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

Independently assess, diagnose and manage presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality outcomes. Structured workflow and supportive setup ensure efficient sessions.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) is required.
• V300 Independent Prescribing is required.
• Recent experience in primary or urgent care is essential.
• Ability to work autonomously with a safe practice mindset.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Complete long-term condition reviews when required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Order and interpret investigations.
• Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
