Job summary

West Quay Medical Practice is seeking a compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in primary care settings. The ANP will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of conditions, prescribing where appropriate and contributing to service development.

The post offers opportunities to develop clinical governance involvement and work with a supportive multidisciplinary team to ensure timely patient care and reduced GP

Qualifications

• Experience of practice within the four pillars.
• Prescribing and undertaking medication reviews.
• Current UK professional registration.
• Masters or Postgraduate Diploma/Degree for Advanced Practice qualification.
• Meets NMC revalidation requirements.
• Meets the standards for registered ANP at advanced level.
• Desirable: experience of working in a primary care environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical assessment and diagnosis for patients with undifferentiated, undiagnosed, and complex health problems.
• Initiate, evaluate, and review treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
• Manage a range of acute, minor, and long-term conditions independently.
• Undertake comprehensive physical assessments using advanced clinical skills.
• Perform and interpret investigations such as blood tests, ECGs, and other procedures.
• Promote preventative healthcare and provide patient education.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, significant event analysis, and local policy development.
• Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and work within local policies.
