Spinwell Global Limited is seeking an Automotive Technician in Gloucester to service and maintain Force vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe, cost-effective operations.

You will diagnose and repair light vehicles, perform servicing, tyre work, and wiring tasks, leveraging experience with diagnostics and electrics. A Modern Apprenticeship NVQ level 3 or equivalent is required, MOT knowledge desirable. The six-month contract is Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' light vehicle diagnosis and repair experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Craft Studies or equivalent.
• Experience in fleet servicing: wiring, tyre changes/balancing, diagnostics, engine repair.
• Experience with vehicle electrics and diagnostic equipment.
• MOT tester (DVSA) registration desirable.
• Experience using computerised workshop information systems.
• Strong communication with staff and external partners.

Spinwell is recruiting for an Automotive Technician for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

To prepare, maintain and service Force vehicles and equipment in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and legislation.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

• A minimum of 3 years light vehicles diagnosis and repair experience with at least 2 years as a fully skilled autotechnician.
• Trained to a minimum Modern Apprenticeship NVQ level 3 in Motor Vehicle Craft Studies or equivalent.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in all aspects of fleet servicing and repairs e.g. vehicle wiring, changing and balancing tyres, vehicle diagnostics and engine repair.
• Experience of vehicle electrics and use of current computerised diagnostic equipment (desirable).
• Registered in the Department of Transport’s list of approved vehicle testers (MOT) (desirable).
• Experience using computerised workshop information and management systems (desirable).
• Ability to communicate with staff at all levels, with tri-service partners and other external agencies such as manufacturers, suppliers and other Forces
