Job summary

Halfords Autocentre is offering an apprenticeship for budding vehicle technicians. You will gain knowledge and practical skills to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, from servicing to complex faults, using diagnostic methods and equipment.

You will study at college with day release, develop problem-solving abilities, and work independently while contributing to a team in a busy Autocentre environment. A genuine career path in automotive maintenance awaits.

Qualifications

• Friendly, helpful and team-oriented person with a desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Interest in cars and solving problems.
• Able to use hands and have a fit attitude due to manual work.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and how vehicles operate.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of vehicles from simple parts to complex faults using diagnostic methods and equipment.
• Learn workplace safety, engineering skills and vehicle inspection and servicing.
• Diagnose and repair faults around engine, chassis and electrical systems.
