Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for automotive technicians/mechanics who can work independently and collaboratively with peers. Our full-service facility aims to create an environment of success!

Seeking a seasoned technician with 15+ years of experience who can be a mentor to other team members.

Although we are a franchised Midas store, we operate with an independent shop mentality, offering dealership-quality service without the dealership costs. Our shop is equipped with the latest technology and has been completely renovated.

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tire repair and replacement
• Heating and air conditioning service
• Steering and suspension repairs
• Belts and hoses replacements
• Radiator and engine cooling system repairs
• Batteries, starting, and charging system repairs
• Brake system repairs
• Muffler and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team
• High personal productivity
• Knowledge of safety and environmental standards
• Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and scan tools
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
• State-specific auto repair certifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment, including diagnostic scanners if possible
• Ability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles

Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are provided for outstanding candidates. Opportunities for bonuses are available.

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
