Job summary

BG Automotive Ltd in Swindon is seeking a vehicle technician to join our Technical team. This role focuses on inspecting new products, production samples and stock for quality, troubleshooting failures and reporting findings clearly.

You'll use precision measuring equipment, read technical drawings, and communicate technical results to colleagues and customers. A motor vehicle or engineering qualification is preferred, with Monday–Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as a vehicle technician with automotive component knowledge.

• Careful, methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to explain technical findings to others.
• Basic IT skills including Word and Excel.
• Motor vehicle or engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new products, production samples, and stock for quality and suitability.

• Use measuring equipment to check components against specifications.
• Record findings and prepare clear inspection reports.
• Support colleagues and customers with automotive technical queries.
• Work with suppliers on inspection findings and product improvements.

Hours:Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:15pm. No weekend working.

Experience using precision measuring equipment, reading technicaldrawingsor carrying outcomponentinspections would be useful, butpreviousemployment in a quality control role is not essential.
