Job summary

Jago Consultants in Letchworth Garden City is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair customer vehicles, diagnose issues, and explain repairs to customers. You will work with diagnostics and perform routine tasks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, plus a proactive, customer-focused mindset and a willingness to learn through hands-on training. Monday–Friday 8:00–17:30, Saturdays on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Explain repairs and issues to customers.
• Test the functionality of parts and systems.
• Oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
• Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings and sensors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the workshop at all times.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in technology and developments.
