Job summary

Apex Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Process Engineer for an automotive manufacturing environment in Woking, Surrey. The role focuses on defining and maintaining robust manufacturing quality processes to ensure product conformity and customer satisfaction.

You will lead quality-related production changes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement across operations. Strong knowledge of PFMEA, control plans and IATF 16949 is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in Manufacturing/Quality Engineering in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP and lean principles.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve robust Control Plans (PFMEA).
• Create/process documentation for inspection, verification and validation.
• Lead quality-related production changes and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate torque audit activity and drive actions to closure.
• Support cross-functional teams to achieve quality deliverables.
• Utilise statistical analysis to identify trends and root causes.
• Manage QCRs from assignment to closure or handover.
• Support training, process changes and continuous improvement.
