Job summary

McLaren Automotive Limited in Woking, Surrey, is offering a 12-month Industrial Placement in Corporate Quality. As a placement student, you will work on quality governance, data analysis, and cross-functional reviews under experienced engineers and program managers.

You will gain hands-on exposure to vehicle inspections, warranty data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, with opportunities to attend development workshops and networking across the business.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Automotive, Manufacturing, Business or STEM with a 2:1 or higher target.
• Interest in quality systems, product integrity and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good organisation and communication.
• Passion for cars and a desire to work in a cutting-edge automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programme-level quality governance and Q-Gate processes.
• Coordinate fault tracking and support cross-functional reviews.
• Participate in vehicle inspections and fault identification.
• Contribute to warranty data analysis and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives linked to customer satisfaction.
• Gain exposure to industry standards and audit processes.
