Job summary

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial is seeking experienced Automotive Production Operatives in Aston, Birmingham. You will operate CNC and automated machinery, handle component loading/unloading, and perform quality inspections to ensure high production standards on rotating day shifts or permanent night shifts.

Ideal candidates have automotive manufacturing experience, familiar with CNC/robotic welding and can read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

12+ months' recent experience in automotive manufacturing.
Experience as Automotive Production Operative, Machine Operator, CNC Operator, Assembly Operative, or similar.
Experience operating high-volume production machinery in an automotive environment.
Familiarity with CNC machines, presses, robotic welding, automated machinery or automotive assembly.
Sound knowledge of automotive quality standards and production processes.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC and automated production machinery.
Work with laser welders, hydraulic presses, water jet equipment and robotic welding cells.
Load and unload automotive components from production machinery.
Perform quality checks using gauges and measuring equipment.
Read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions.
