Job summary

ASL Technical Ltd. is seeking an organised, proactive Logistics Operative to join a busy automotive manufacturing environment, supporting bespoke, heritage and specialist vehicle programmes. You will help keep production running by receiving, storing and delivering parts.

Working with production teams, suppliers and logistics partners, you'll ensure parts are in the right place at the right time and assist with timely deliveries across sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in logistics, stores or materials handling within a manufacturing environment.
• Good IT skills and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational abilities.
• Hold a full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming deliveries, verify quantities and bookings in internal systems.
• Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments with correct packaging and dispatch.
• Pick, handle and distribute parts to support production needs.
• Liaise with production teams, material controllers and external logistics providers to resolve shortages.
• Undertake van deliveries between sites, suppliers and storage facilities.

Logistics Operative

ASL Technical is recruiting for an organised, proactive and hands‑on Logistics Operative to join a busy automotive manufacturing environment, supporting a range of exciting bespoke, heritage and specialist vehicle programmes.

This is a varied role where you'll play an important part in keeping production running smoothly, ensuring parts and materials are received, managed, stored and delivered efficiently.

Working closely with production teams, suppliers and logistics partners, you'll help ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming deliveries, checking quantities, documentation and accurately booking parts onto internal systems.
• Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring items are correctly packaged and dispatched.
• Pick, handle and distribute parts to support production requirements.
• Liaise with production teams, material controllers and external logistics providers to resolve shortages and respond to urgent requirements.
• Undertake van deliveries between manufacturing sites, suppliers and storage facilities.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a logistics, stores or materials handling role within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.

You'll also bring:

• Good IT skills, ideally with experience of warehouse management systems.
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence communicating with different teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
• A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to respond positively to changing production demands.
• A full, valid driving licence.
