Job summary

ASL Technical Ltd is seeking a Logistics Operative to join a busy automotive manufacturing environment. You will be organised, hands-on and proactive, keeping parts and materials flowing through receiving, storage and delivery processes while supporting production teams and suppliers.

In this varied role you will manage deliveries, book stock onto internal systems, coordinate outgoing shipments and undertake van deliveries between sites. A full driving licence and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, stores or materials handling within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Experience using warehouse management systems to track inventory.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming deliveries, document and book parts into internal systems.
• Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring correct packaging and dispatch.
• Pick, handle and distribute parts to support production requirements.

Logistics Operative

ASL Technical is recruiting for an organised, proactive and hands-on Logistics Operative to join a busy automotive manufacturing environment, supporting a range of exciting bespoke, heritage and specialist vehicle programmes. This is a varied role where you'll play an important part in keeping production running smoothly, ensuring parts and materials are received, managed, stored and delivered efficiently. Working closely with production teams, suppliers and logistics partners, you'll help ensure the right parts are in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming deliveries, checking quantities, documentation and accurately booking parts onto internal systems.
• Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring items are correctly packaged and dispatched.
• Pick, handle and distribute parts to support production requirements.
• Liaise with production teams, material controllers and external logistics providers to resolve shortages and respond to urgent requirements.
• Undertake van deliveries between manufacturing sites, suppliers and storage facilities.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a logistics, stores or materials handling role within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. You'll also bring:

• Good IT skills, ideally with experience of warehouse management systems.
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence communicating with different teams, suppliers and logistics partners.
• A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to respond positively to changing production demands.
• A full, valid driving licence.
