Job summary

Ganymede Solutions in Halewood is seeking an Automotive Production Engineering Lead on a contract basis. You will guide automated production lines through vehicle launches, coordinating between the customer, engineering and installation teams to keep the line moving.

This hands-on role requires automotive launch experience, a strong understanding of automation, and proven ability to resolve issues under pressure on a fast-paced manufacturing site.

The Opportunity

Based in Halewood, you''ll be the link between the customer, engineering teams and installation personnel, ensuring production issues are identified, communicated and resolved quickly throughout the vehicle launch.

Working on automated production lines, you''ll help maintain momentum by coordinating technical support, resolving build issues and ensuring production readiness from launch through to successful delivery.

Rate: £34.36 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Contract Duration: Contract expected to run through to mid-2027, offering long-term project stability.

Most importantly, you''ll have experience supporting automotive vehicle launches and be confident working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You'll also bring:

• Previous experience supporting automotive vehicle launch programmes.
• A strong understanding of automated production lines and manufacturing processes.
• The ability to identify root causes and coordinate practical solutions under pressure.
• Experience working directly with OEM customers and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced launch environment.
• The confidence to assist with equipment modifications and installations where required.
• The ability to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes (advantageous).
