Job summary

Onward technologies Limited in Halewood is seeking a Launch Manufacturing Engineer to lead and support manufacturing launch activities for existing and new vehicle programs in a high-volume automotive plant.

You will drive structured problem solving using Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and GD&T, collaborate across functions, identify risks, and ensure readiness for volume production through trials and ramp-up. You will report status and drive continuous improvement initiatives with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt).
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and dimensional control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support manufacturing launch activities for existing / new vehicle programs in a high-volume automotive plant.
• Drive structured complex problem-solving initiatives using Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, product engineering, suppliers, and launch teams.
• Identify manufacturing risks during launch phases and implement containment and permanent corrective actions.
• Support dimensional and build quality improvements with GD&T principles.
• Analyze production issues, downtime, and defects to meet launch timing and quality targets.
• Participate in trial builds, pilot phases, and ramp-up activities for volume production readiness.
• Provide clear reporting and communication to stakeholders on launch status, risks and mitigation plans.
• Demonstrate complex, team-based problem-solving examples within manufacturing environments
