Job summary

Apex Resource Management is seeking a Stores Operative near Daventry to support a fast-paced automotive logistics team. You will receive, store and move parts, ensure accurate stock levels and support production and restoration projects.

Responsibilities include goods-in, location control, picking, packing and stock audits, using SAP or Sage, and maintaining high quality data. Heavy lifting and precise work are required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience.
• Experience using warehouse management and stock control systems such as SAP or Sage.
• Automotive parts experience is advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to undertake manual handling and regular heavy lifting.
• Strong data analysis skills to support decision making.
• Logical and effective problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming parts and manage the goods-in process.
• Check and verify incoming goods and report discrepancies.
• Locate and store parts within the storage facility.
• Pick parts and prepare component kits as needed.
• Operate barcode and stock control systems to maintain records.
• Bag, label and package parts with clear identification.
• Prepare parts on trolleys with manifests.
• Record and report shortages and conduct stock audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate findings.
