Job summary

Key Recruitment Limited in Guildford is seeking a customer-focused Parts Advisor or Parts Supervisor for a busy automotive dealership. You will help retail, trade and workshop customers identify, order and supply parts accurately while delivering excellent service.

You will handle enquiries, process orders, source unavailable parts, keep customers updated on progress and support stock control and safety procedures. A full, clean driving licence and solid team ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive parts department, ideally within a main dealership.
• Experience using Kerridge or a similar dealer management system is desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle parts enquiries, identify the correct items and advise customers on availability, pricing and additional requirements.
• Process orders, raise invoices and ensure parts are picked and despatched accurately and on time.
• Source unavailable parts from alternative suppliers or dealerships.
• Keep customers informed of order progress and resolve any issues promptly.
• Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and develop sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate stock records and ensure parts are stored and handled correctly.
• Deal with complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
• Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.
