Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant experience within motor vehicle maintenance, mechanics, or the automotive industry.
• Automotive qualifications are desirable; practical knowledge of vehicle systems, servicing, diagnostics and repair.
• Strong communication of technical information to learners.
• Ability to supervise practical workshop activities.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical instruction covering vehicle maintenance and mechanical principles
• Demonstrate correct procedures for inspecting, servicing, and repairing vehicle components
• Guide learners through workshop-based tasks and technical exercises
• Explain operation of key automotive systems using clear methods
• Monitor practical work and provide constructive feedback on skills development
• Maintain appropriate workshop health and safety standards during all activities
