Job summary

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial seeks an Automotive FLT Driver in Aston, full-time, rotating 06:00-13:30 and 13:30-21:00. You will operate Counterbalance, Reach and Bendi (Flexi) trucks to move stock, load vehicles and support production lines to keep workflow smooth.

Applicants must hold valid FLT licences for the relevant truck types and have at least 12 months' experience in automotive, manufacturing or production support.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licences for Counterbalance, Reach or Bendi, refreshed within 3 years.
• Minimum 12 months' FLT experience in automotive or high-volume logistics.
• Experience in line feeding and production support.

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial seeks an Automotive FLT Driver in Aston, paying £15.16 per hour on a full-time basis. Working rotating shifts of 06:00-13:30 and 13:30-21:00, the successful candidate will operate counterbalance, reach and Bendi (Flexi) trucks within an automotive logistics facility. Duties include moving stock, loading vehicles and supporting production lines to maintain workflow. Applicants must hold valid FLT licences for the relevant truck types and possess prior experience in automotive, manufacturing or production support. Free parking is provided at this modern site, which is easily reached from Hockley, Perry Barr and Central Birmingham. Premium overtime rates apply.

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider supporting a major automotive manufacturer in North Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-volume operation where your skills will play a vital role in keeping production lines running efficiently. We are looking for experienced Counterbalance, Reach and Bendi (Flexi) Truck Drivers who understand the demands of a modern automotive environment and can work safely whilst maintaining productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Counterbalance, Reach or Bendi (Flexi) trucks within a busy automotive logistics operation.
• Line feeding production areas with parts and materials to support continuous manufacturing.
• Supplying assembly lines in line with Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing processes.
• Moving automotive components, stillages, pallets and returnable packaging throughout the facility.
• Loading and unloading trailers efficiently and safely.
• Supporting goods-in, stock replenishment and material movements across the site.
• Carrying out stock transfers and inventory movements using warehouse systems.
• Working closely with production, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties, housekeeping and material handling when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance, Reach or Bendi (Flexi) licence issued or refreshed within the last 3 years.
• Minimum 12 months' FLT experience within an automotive, manufacturing or high-volume logistics environment.
• Previous experience of line feeding, production support or materials movement.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work both on and off the truck as operational requirements dictate.
• Reliable, flexible and capable of working within a fast-paced team environment.
