Job summary

Ensignbus is seeking an NVQ Level 3 qualified Automotive Electrician to join the Purfleet depot. You will diagnose electrical faults, carry out repairs and replacements, perform electrical tests and installations, and complete all documentation in line with regulations and health and safety standards.

The role is Monday to Friday, 07:30am-15:30pm, with on-site parking and opportunities to contribute to a busy, multi-award winning team at our Purfleet site.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in vehicle electrics or equivalent.
• Experience working on HGV/PSV is advantageous but not essential.
• Valid UK driving licence and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs on vehicles.
• Replace parts, carry out electrical testing, installations and routine maintenance.
• Ensure documentation complies with regulations and health & safety standards.

Skills

Automotive electrical knowledge

Education

Position: Automotive Electrician

Location: Juliette Way, Purfleet-on-Thames, South Ockendon RM15 4YF

Ensignbus is the multi award bus company running the majority of bus services in Thurrock as well as operating Rail Replacement services, Private Charter services for schools, football teams, and corporate clients and extensive use of heritage vehicles from our depot in Purfleet. In addition, we are one of the largest second-hand bus dealers in the UK and carry out bespoke conversion and refurbishment work for clients of all kinds.

We are now looking for an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified Automotive Electrician to join the busy team at our Ensignbus Depot in Purfleet. We would love to hear from qualified candidates with great automotive electrical knowledge and any ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other automotive sectors looking for a change.

Key Details:

• £21.28 per hour
• £ 41,496 per annum
• Monday-Friday
• 07:30am-15:30pm

In this hands-on role, you'll keep vehicles running safely and reliably by diagnosing electrical faults, completing repairs and replacing parts when needed. You'll carry out scheduled electrical testing and any installations, routine inspections and preventative maintenance. You'll also make sureall documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulations and health and safety standards.

What We're Looking For

• Do you have a Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair with a focus on vehicle electrics?
• Do you have experience working on HGV or PSV? Not essential but beneficial
• Do you have a valid UK driving licence?
• Do you have a strong attention to detail and a passion for mechanics?
