Job summary

Gordon Murray Group seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to design and integrate complex electrical systems for automotive programmes. You will collect and manage detailed system requirements, ensure traceability, and oversee supplier deliverables through the full lifecycle.

The role emphasizes model-based systems engineering, CAN networking with Vector/Peak tools, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet milestones and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive systems integration.
• Experience with requirements capture and model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 is a plus.
• Fluency in English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Define detailed system requirements for automotive projects.
• Ensure requirements are documented, traceable and aligned with customer needs.
• Incorporate certification and functional safety requirements into the system design.
• Generate requirements documentation for suppliers and DV team testing.
• Oversee the technical aspects of automotive integration projects and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate with design, development and testing teams to meet milestones.
• Track and report project progress, risks and mitigations.
• Provide CAN network diagnostics and testing guidance using Vector tools during integration.
