Job summary

Holt Engineering in Poole is recruiting for a Production Line Operator to join a growing automotive operation. The role involves using hand and power tools to safely dismantle end-of-life vehicles and remove components for reuse and recycling.

You will work on rotating Am/PM shifts, 42.5 hours per week, with a salary of £33,000 per year and permanent status. There are opportunities for progression based on performance and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on mechanical or vehicle experience.
• Good knowledge of vehicle components and how they fit together.
• Confidence using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to health and safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Safely dismantle end-of-life vehicles.
• Identify and remove quality automotive parts for reuse.
• Remove mechanical and electrical vehicle components.
• Dismantle and remove doors, windows and glazing.
• Remove interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Remove suspension and powertrain components.
• Remove dashboards and associated parts.
• Use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Extract and separate recyclable materials.
• Sort waste materials into the correct recycling streams.
• Follow quality, safety and environmental procedures.
• Work efficiently to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
• Work closely with colleagues to keep the production line running effectively.
