Job summary

Ganymede Solutions in Northamptonshire is seeking an Automotive Bodywork Specialist with a passion for high-end and race car restoration. You’ll prepare, repair and perfect panels using fibreglass, carbon fibre, aluminium and steel, delivering flawless finishes on rare vehicles.

This role offers hands-on work on Porsche, Ferrari and other prestige cars, with a focus on attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Automotive Bodywork Specialist – Northamptonshire

£20.73 – £21.29 per hour incl. holiday pay

Approx. £36,075 – £37,050 per year

Days | 20 shifts + Bank Holidays

If you're the person who can’t walk past a car without checking out the body lines, paintwork and panel gaps… this could be the job for you.

We're looking for a youngskilled Bodywork Specialist with a genuine passion for cars to join a company with 50+ years of experience working on some seriously impressive vehicles.

And we're not talking about fitting bumpers all day.

This is proper bodywork and restoration — preparing, repairing and perfecting high‑end and specialist cars where attention to detail really matters.

WHAT YOU COULD BE WORKING ON

Think Porsche. Ferrari. Lotus. Jaguar replicas. Race cars. Motorsport projects.

The company has worked across some of the biggest names and categories in motorsport, including Formula 1, Formula 3, British Touring Cars, World Touring Cars and GT racing.

One day you could be prepping a Ferrari panel. The next, you could be repairing a race car part that literally can’t be bought anymore.

That’s where your skill comes in.

Imagine a 50-year-old race car arrives with a damaged wing and there isn’t a replacement available. You don’t just order another one.

You repair it. Rebuild it. Shape it. Fill it. Prep it. And get it looking like it was never damaged.

That’s the level of craftsmanship we’re looking for.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll be working with:

• Fibreglass
• Carbon Fibre
• Aluminium
• Steel
• Plastics
• Fillers & primers
• Panel preparation & masking
• Bodywork repairs and restoration
• Precise edge-to-edge filler work
• Preparing vehicles/components for high‑quality refinishing

This is a body repair role — not a vehicle fitting role.

We're looking for someone who has built their skills through hands‑on experience and genuinely enjoys getting bodywork spot on.
