Job summary

LA International is seeking an Automation Test Lead for a 6-month hybrid contract with 2 days per week onsite in London. You will drive hands-on automation testing, lead framework enhancements and coordinate with teams on API, database and messaging testing.

The role requires strong automation expertise and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Candidates with security clearance are welcome; clearance may be required prior to appointment and can take time to obtain.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Karate Framework.
• Strong Core Java and JavaScript programming.
• Strong experience in API testing and automation.
• Hands-on experience testing MQ messages and Kafka.
• Strong database testing and integration experience, including database connectivity and interaction at the Java/code level.
• Experience in UI automation testing.
• Deep framework-level expertise, including troubleshooting, fixing and enhancing automation framework features.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills for complex automation issues.
• Working knowledge of payment structures/payment systems.

Responsibilities

Based: Hybrid working. 2 days p/w onsite in London

Rate - £300 - £350 p/d via Umbrella

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Karate Framework.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java and JavaScript.
• Strong experience in API testing and automation.

Role Expectation

• Must be hands-on and capable of independently troubleshooting and enhancing the automation framework.
• Provide technical direction and resolve framework/API/database/integration-level automation issues.
• Support the team on complex technical blockers with minimal ramp-up.
