Job summary

Stott and May Consulting is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Test Automation Engineer for a collaborative Agile team in a leading financial services organisation. This hybrid role involves ad hoc travel to central London and Surrey, and focuses on hands-on testing and automation to deliver high-quality software.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain automated tests using C#, .NET and Selenium, define acceptance criteria with BDD and Gherkin, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing and automation experience.
• Familiarity with C#, .NET and Selenium.
• Experience with BDD and Gherkin.
• Understanding of test planning and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests using C#, .NET and Selenium.
• Create test plans, test cases and regression test suites.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs and product owners to define acceptance criteria using BDD and Gherkin.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform manual testing where required and manage defects through to resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Practical experience in software testing and test automation.
• Working knowledge of C# and Selenium.
• Understanding of BDD, Gherkin and Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of test planning, regression testing and defect management.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SpecFlow, CI/CD pipelines and .NET applications.
