Job summary

Trayport is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to drive automated testing across the product. You will write unit and integration tests in C#, build and scale automated test frameworks, and collaborate with developers to ensure high quality software.

You will leverage AI tools to accelerate test creation, contribute to CI/CD improvements, and mentor peers in automation best practices within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with C#, including writing unit and integration tests and using mocking frameworks.
• 2+ years focused on API testing within automated test frameworks.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing.
• Familiarity with or interest in incorporating AI tools into development/testing to boost productivity.
• Solid understanding of testing concepts, web services, application servers, and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Automate test cases using the same languages and standards as developers on the team.
• Create fast, reliable automated tests and investigate failures to improve automation.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate test script generation and troubleshooting.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines or build new ones to streamline delivery.
• Mentor other QEs on automation best practices and backlog support.
• Perform root cause analysis by examining code and tests to identify issues.
• Contribute to software architecture discussions and help define acceptance criteria.
• Share product knowledge across the engineering team through sessions.
