Junior QA Tester (automation, AI startup)

Remote (UK only)

Better Placed Tech has partnered with a Microsoft-backed AI business that is close to securing a major seed round from a leading AI VC. With impending funding and a great array of clients, they are now looking to add to their UK-based team.

The founding team comprises industry leaders and innovators from top tech companies and educational institutions worldwide. They are working on cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the AI landscape.

This is an opportunity for a mid-level QA Engineer to join the UK team. The role is fully remote, with potential travel to Silicon Valley 1-2 times per year for collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Work as a talented, motivated QA Engineer with a top university degree in Maths/CS or 6-12 months experience in a native AI startup.
• Collaborate with a team of software and ML engineers as their dedicated tester.

Experience and Skills Required:

Any of the following would be useful:

• Python testing: pytest, Selenium, unit and integration testing, end-to-end testing.

AI-specific testing tools:

• Model testing: MLflow for tracking experiments.
• A/B testing: Split or GrowthBook for model comparison.
• Performance monitoring: Weights & Biases or TensorBoard.

API & integration testing:

• REST API testing: Postman, REST-assured, or direct pytest with requests.

The key requirement is experience working with small teams of AI and ML engineers in AI startups.
