Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting an Engineering Support Operative to join the permanent team in the Nottingham area. You will respond quickly to equipment issues, perform basic maintenance, and escalate complex faults to the engineering team, ensuring smooth system flow.

Ideal candidates have experience in maintenance or automated equipment, with a focus on safety and teamwork. The role offers a permanent position in a technology-led engineering environment in the Nottingham region.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, maintenance or similar operational environment.
• Ideally 2 years in a similar industry or environment.
• Experience with basic equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of automated equipment and maintaining system flow.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
• Able to work at height and remain proactive in problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance checks on automated equipment.
• Act as first point of contact when faults occur and escalate as needed.
• Identify system faults, blockages and performance issues.
• Perform basic reactive and preventative repairs.
• Support continuous product flow and minimise downtime.
• Document issues and communicate with the wider engineering team.
• Maintain equipment hygiene and housekeeping requirements.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to safety and risk assessments.
